Augustine- PIWC ATOMIC

Deacon Job was a true brother, father, friend and a faithful servant of God. He was always responsive to my calls anytime l needed him, he supported the christening of all my kids at PIWC Atomic and ensured everything went on well, he never said no to every request my wife and l made to him, very down to earth and showed respect to all. We know you are in a better place and resting in the Lord. RIP servant of God until we meet again in Heaven

Awwoo Deacon Job. You remember when you advised me to stay home when we are travelling long distances to funerals far from us. Especially when the bus is leaving at 2am. I heeded, the reason I didn’t join this funeral even though I had the strong urge to join. Little did I know it would have been a good bye. You asked the Sunday before the funeral whether I’ll join and I said no. Oh Deacon Job, maybe I should have gone, maybe not. Rest well my Guardian, rest well my advisor. Till we meet again. Adios

Oh Dcn Job… only the good Lord knows best. I vividly remember all your warm hugs. You were so accessible in person and on the phone and by God you could never be upset even if you tried. In the face of frustration, you would always keep calm and find a way to bring humour into the situation. Anytime I’d go for so long and on my return, you’d look me with the eye, give me a hug and say ‘welcome back’. No questions asked…. No queries. My parents loved you too. Who wouldn’t love you. You had such a beautiful soul. As I sit at your memorial service, I am heavily grieved but I am comforted that you are with the Lord, away from a wicked world. Journey on Soldier… I will dearly miss you Dcn Job.

On that faithful day of the tragic incident, we all knew that we would go for the funeral and come back as at other times. Unfortunately, the unexpected happened. I recall the frantic efforts made by our cherished beloved brother to get the vehicle out of the mud. He didn’t think about his own safety. He risked his own life so that we the other team members could be safe. The extent to which he went just to just us moving even at the peril of his own life is a testament to his selflessness. Deacon, you sacrificed your life to safe us. Rest well till we meet again.

Deacon Job, wow, I still can’t believe the news. But it’s well. You were a devoted Man of God, whose service in the house of God was exemplary and ideal to emulate. Rest in God’s perfect peace. I pray the Lord, strengthens your family and the church. Gone but not forgotten. Forever in our hearts. 😢😢🙌🙌🙏🏼🙏🏼
